we are mark and laura.
we invite you to join us for apple and pear picking in september and october.
mark is the sweet farmer who laura fell in love with. carl is mark’s dad, whose great, great, great grandpa aaron started this journey. our 2 happy kids are the 7th generation on this farm. they are actually adults now, and continue to help us!
so much history and so many changes...
it was originally a mixed farm with sheep, pigs, cows, fields of wheat, turnip, corn and always a few apple and pear trees.
it was also a dairy farm until the late 1960’s, when more orchards were planted. the pick your own business began in the 70’s and continues to flourish.
we now grow over 20 varieties of apples and 3 types of pears, and offer a simple, charming country experience for guests.
the 100 acres are nestled in the gorgeous credit river valley
it is just lovely!
